RESTORATIVE YIN YOGA “CHAKRA BALANCING” WORKSHOP SERIES 2021- Fire Up your Will Power and Courage by harmonising your ” solar plexus “- the seat of your relationship with yourself
Date : Friday, 14th May 2021 Venue : On Zoom/ Studio* Price: £40 *
Why YIN YOGA?
A soft, gentle style of hatha yoga informed by Chinese Daoist practices, with a focus on the meridians and proper alignment is in tune with the ancient Yogic science of Chakra Balancing. The poses are passively held for 1 to 5 minutes to help strengthen joints, ligaments, and fascial tissues. A yin yoga sequence is suitable for beginners or people recovering from muscle injuries as can help your body stretch, lengthen, and recover from stress and workouts. Our workshops blend ancient Yogic science and Affirmations to create rich, holistic themes relevant for wellness in the modern world.
What to Expect :
Healing is about integrating and balancing these energies in the third major energy center, the solar plexus chakra/ Manipura, the ‘jewel city’ is associated with emotions, confidence, will power, decisions, personal opinions, purpose. Situated behind the navel, your third chakra is associated with the element of fire. It is the “fire in your belly”, your personal power and your core self. This chakra governs the emotional body and it is your power and transformation centre. It is also linked to digestion, the digestive fire (agni in Ayurveda) and is related to how we process (digest) life events and our emotions. It is also related to the psyche and to our gut feelings, our intuition.
Correcting imbalance in your life by opening your solar plexus chakra can be made easier by MEDITATION, MINDFUL BREATHING, attempting a sequence of 10 ASANAS sitting and lying down on the floor. These will include Asanas that compress the abdomen, so expect Asanas on your back and belly as well as Reclining Twists for detox and cleansing. You will learn new MUDRA for digestion.
This workshop is available to all. As each position is held longer, so please have some props, cushions, blankets and pillows to support yourself if practicing at home, as we are always better when supported.
Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner
