A great workshop to kickstart your New Year momentum towards your Health and Wellbeing Journey. Suitable for those who would like to experience a wind down after a hectic holiday, work project, personal social event, kids going back to school – ANYONE – looking to experience a deep stretch with ‘ balancing’, ‘calming down’ and ‘energising’ after effects!
YIN YOGA is soft, gentle and we hold each posture for 2 to 3 minutes, with the help of a lot of props. The purpose of holding is to allow a deeper stretch of the connective tissues involved. YIN YOGA works on the ligaments and tendons and not the muscles. Continuing with our theme of previous 3 workshops, we will focus on the HEART CHAKRA- the 4th ENERGY CENTER OF LOVE AND COMPASSION. The ASANAS are further guided by AFFIRMATIONS to create a more profound impact of our practice. With hatha and restorative Yin poses, this class is a perfect mix of stretching and meditation to lead you into a settled and calming evening. There is a blend of light warm up asanas, gentle stretches mainly lying down, balancing postures leading you to drop into a restful state. We end with an experience of a guided Yoga Nidra meditation which will fill your heart with love and gratitude. You will definitely leave feeling lighter, refreshed and with a joyous spark!
